Student’s Profile COURSE DESCRIPTION This phase of the Physical Education Program involves an actual manifestation of physical, mental, emotional, and social response of an individual through the regular pattern of rhythm or/ and sound. This also deals with fundamental folk dance terms and steps. The manner on how the dance steps are being executed through dance patterns and the time signature of the musical accompaniment used in the interpretation of a particular folk dance step are given emphasis in the course which will allow the learners to experience and learn the importance of folk dance as form of physical fitness activity and at the same time will enable the learners to appreciate its value in the preservation of the country’s cultural heritage. Each group is required to create 5 sets of dance steps. Each set should consist of 16 counts. The song to be used will be announced and played after all groups have completed creating their dance movements.
