GROUP PRESENTATION BY GROUP 7 ICT PROJECT FOR SOCIAL CHANGE The Importance of an Interactive Website INCREASED TIME ON WEBSITE (DWELL TIME) Dwell time refers to the time a user spends on a website page before returning to search results. Adding engaging features, like videos, helps keep users on the site longer. This extended time signals to search engines, like Google, that the content is relevant and valuable to visitors. As a result, sites with higher dwell time may be ranked higher in search results for certain keywords. INCREASED CONVERSION RATE For businesses, a key goal of a website is to encourage users to take action, like purchasing a product or service. An interactive website can help with this by building trust and showing value. For example, a local business offering driving experiences could use a video to showcase these experiences and customer satisfaction. This approach not only boosts dwell time but also enhances brand trust, making users more likely to convert and increasing potential future sales through word of mouth. IMPROVED USER EXPERIENCE User experience is essential for website success because it influences key metrics like conversion rate, repeat business, average time per session, and bounce rate. Good UX means creating an engaging, user-friendly environment where visitors can easily find what they need.
