PEDIATRICS EXAM 3 NOTES LAB VALUES BMP – basic metabolic panel Can also be ordered as a Chem 7 (chemistry 7 panel) CMP = BMP + LFT Comprehensive metabolic panel = BMP + liver function test; also called a Chem 12 Sodium 135-145 mEq/L AST 8-48 U/L Chloride 97-107 mEq/L ALT 7-55 U/L Potassium 3.5-5.0 mEq/L Albumin 3.5-5.0 g/dL Calcium 8.5-10.5 mg/dL Bilirubin 0.1-1.0 mg/dL BUN 7-18 mg/dL ALP 42-128 U/L Cr 0.7-1.4 mg/dL BUN and Cr are tests that help Glucose give information about kidney 60-110 mg/dL function Carbon Dioxide 22-30 mmol/L Calcium, Magnesium, and phosphorous are not usually automatically checked on BMP or CMP and may need to be ordered separately.
