A pathologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing diseases by examining tissues, blood, and other bodily fluids under a microscope. They analyze samples to detect abnormalities such as infections, cancer, or other diseases. Pathologists provide essential information that helps doctors determine the best treatment plans for patients. TYPES OF PATHOLOGIST Anatomic Pathologists: Examine tissues and organs from biopsies or surgeries. Clinical Pathologists: Analyze blood, urine, and other fluids to detect infections and monitor chronic conditions. Other subspecialties include forensic pathology (cause of death), cytopathology (cellular disease diagnosis), and molecular pathology(genetic markers). DUTIES: The duties of a Pathologist includes: -studying blood samples -running medical tests -operating laboratory equipment -analyzing test results -staying updated with advancements in pathology -suggesting potential treatment options TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES Modern pathology uses advanced tools such as microscopes, molecular diagnostics, and automated lab instruments.
