Obtain clinical history 2. Identify the body (breed, species, sex) 3. Estimate gestational age 1. Measure crown to rump 2. Get body weight withOUT fetal membranes 4. Note aeration of the lungs 5. Look for evidence of fetal hypoxia, malformation, infection 1. What is an indicator of fetal hypoxia? a. Meconium staining ○ Collect samples for ancillary tests 1.
