NNPC Limited Investigation Processes and Procedures 1.1 Introduction NNPC Limited is committed to ensuring that its business operates smoothly and without interruption in line with its business requirements as a dynamic global energy company with businesses and operations across the entire spectrum of the energy value chain. 1.2 Background A Business Continuity (BC) Policy is a set of guidelines that defines and outlines how proper business resilience and risk management measures are implemented within an organization. An effective business continuity policy is important for any organization that seeks to ensure that the business continues to operate during and after a significant disruption. In this regard, NNPC Limited (hereinafter referred to as “NNPC”) has recognized the need for a business continuity policy as a means of ensuring business resilience. The policy has been established to minimize the potential damage caused by disruptive incidents and limit the duration of disruption to business operations. 1.3 Purpose NNPC’s general approach to Business Continuity Management (BCM) is described in this Business Continuity Policy. The policy outlines the guidelines that will be used to build the organization’s BC capabilities, and this includes the following: NNPC Limited Investigation Processes and Procedures  A framework for establishing business continuity within the organization  A framework for ensuring the efficacy of the business continuity plan (i.e., competency requirement, etc.)  A framework for monitoring the effectiveness and continual improvement of business continuity management a 1.4 Updates to the Policy It is intended that this policy will be updated every two (2) years, unless there is a specific requirement for an immediate revision in line with changes in NNPC Limited’s business. Such updates will be duly communicated to all relevant departments.
