Mathematics in the Modern World Polytechnic University of the Philippines Neil Mari D. Alcantara Bachelor of Science in Psychology - 1st Semester Lesson 2: Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio Golden Ratio In mathematics and arts, two quantities are in the golden ratio if the ratio between the sum of those quantities and the larger Leonardo Pisano Bigollo aka Fibonacci one is the same as the ratio between the larger one and the smaller. The golden ratio is a mathematical constant approximately 1.6180339887 The fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers where a number is found by adding up the two numbers before it.
