Republic of the Philippines CENTRAL BICOL STATE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE Calabanga | Pasacao | Pili | Sipocot FIGURES ON A PLANE Learning objectives 1. Identify and define points, lines, and planes. 2. Classify angles as acute, right, obtuse, or straight. Plane A flat surface that continues forever (or in mathematical terms, infinitely) in every direction. Point - It represented by dot - No dimension - Location on the plane Line - It is one-dimensional figure that is made up of an infinite number of individual points placed side by side. - Continues infinitely in to directions. Line Segment - Can be very long, very short or somewhere in between. - Has two endpoints. Ray - It has one endpoint and goes in one direction. Angles - Lines, line segments, points, and rays are the building blocks o other figures. f - Common endpoint of an angle is called the vertex. Types of angles - Right angle - Acute angle - Obtuse angle - Straight angle Thank you!
