CONTRAST Emphasis is a EMPHASIS principle of art which part of the work stands out, in order to draw the viewer’s eye, there first. How emphasis directs the viewer’s attention to the main subject or focal EMPHASIS point of the photo?  HARMONY Harmony is a consistent, orderly, or pleasing arrangement of parts. HARMONY UNITY Unity is taking the parts of a piece of art and unifying them into something better as a whole. UNITY  BALANCE Balance is arranging the elements in a piece so that there is equality from one side to the another. B A L A N C E PATTERN or RHYTHM Pattern or Rhythm is simply repeating an element that will cause the viewer’s eye to move around to each element. PATTERN or RHYTHM PHOTO ESSAY  What is Photo Essay? A photo essay is a collection of pictures or images that are arranged in a specific order to tell the progression of events, emotions, and concepts. TWO TYPES OF PHOTO ESSAY  NARRATIVE PHOTO Narrative photo makes use of series of pictures that tell a story.  An Exciting Field Trip Our school had a field trip in Manila Ocean Park.
