Summary
This document provides an overview of the lymphatic system, detailing its functions, benefits, and differences from the venous system. It discusses the role of lymphatic capillaries, lymph, and lymph nodes. The document also covers the major lymphatic organs and conditions where lymphatic systems are absent. It is a good resource for learning about the lymphatic system.

**Lymphatic System:-** It is the close system of lymphatic capillaries which arise from tissue & drain 10% intestinal fluid/lymph from tissue. **Benefits of Lymphatic System** 1. The large molecule of protein which are synthesized into the tissue are drain by Lymphatic System. \(2) Lymphatic System is the defensive system of human body. It provide the defense by the help of lymph node. \(3) Lymphatic System also provides a bypass route when there is a any blockage in the venous system. **SIMILARITY OF LYMPHATIC WITH VENOUS SYSTEM --** - Both has been arised from tissue. - Both Contain unidirectional valve. - Both have muscular pump **DIFFERENCE B/W LYMPHATIC SYSTEM & VENOUS SYSTEM-** - The pore size of Lymphatic capillaries are larger than venous capillary. - Lymphatic capillary drain the lymph whereas veins drains the deoxygenated blood. - The lymph which drain by lymphatic capillaries has been filtered via lymph nodes. **LYMPH --** - It is drained by lymphatic capillaries. - The concentration of lymph are just similar the plasma with more amount of W.B.C. & Protein. - It does not contain R.B.C & Platelet **LYMPH NODES-** Lymph nodes are the nodular structure which contain more amount of B- lymphocyte & T-Lymphocyte. **FUNCTION --** - Absorption of water. - Destruction of pathogenic micro-organism. - They are also known as TRAFFIC POLICE OF human body. **MAJOR LYMPHATIC ORGANS --** \(1) Spleen \(2) Thymus \(3) Tonsil **ORGANS WHERE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM ARE ABSENT --** 1\. Brain 2. Bone **PRESSURE INSIDE THE LYMPHATIC BLOOD VESSELS ARE --** 1-2 mm/Hg. **MAJOR Lymphatic Duct-** There are 2 major Lymphatic Duct- 1\. Right Lymphatic Duct- it drain the Lymph from right upper part of Body \- It open into the Right Sub Clavian Vein 2\. Left Lymphatic Duct- it drain the Lymph from Right lower part & whole left part of human body. \- It opens into left subclavian vein - It is also known as major Lymphatic duct or thoracic duct.
