Activate a license Explains license activation for Configured Commerce. Suggest Edits Configured Commerce uses remote activation for licensing. This means that a remote call is made each time the Admin Console is accessed, regardless of the hosting solution. Remote calls are made to the licensing server hosted by Optimizely. Note Licensing checks are only completed for the Admin Console. Optimizely recognizes the implications of a public facing commerce site being taken offline because of a license check failure, therefore, the public facing commerce site is not dependent on the license check being valid. Optimizely representatives would work with an organization to resolve any licensing conflicts. License Check Commerce applications using Configured Commerce are subject to a licensing check. These are associated per domain and are configured in the Admin Console, located at /admin in a deployed environment. Additionally, Optimizely provides developers with a test URL of the format *.local.com which has a permanent license.
