1. Adventure Tourism- is a type niche tourism involving exploration or travel to remote areas, where the traveler should expect the unexpected. 2.Agritourism-this is a style of vacation of which the traveler normally stays on farms. 3.Archaeotourism or archeological tourism-this an alternative f...
1. Adventure Tourism- is a type niche tourism involving exploration or travel to remote areas, where the traveler should expect the unexpected. 2.Agritourism-this is a style of vacation of which the traveler normally stays on farms. 3.Archaeotourism or archeological tourism-this an alternative form of cultural tourism, which aims to promote the passion for historical -archaeology and the conversation of historical sites. 4. Art Tourism- activities involved are going to museum , art galleries and theatres. 5.Black Tourism or Grief Tourism- involves visiting sites associated with suffering and death. 6.Bookstore Tourism-type of cultural tourism that promotes independent bookstores as a group travel destination. 7. Culinary Tourism- This refers to travel of which the purpose is to pursue unique and memorable drinking and dining with the locals at the chosen destination. 8.Cultural or Heritage Tourism-involves immersion in a society`s lifestyle, it`s people history, art and architecture, religion, rituals and festivals. 9.Disaster Tourism- involves visiting areas that have been affected by floods, hurricanes, volcanoes. 10. Domestic Tourism- refers to travel within national boundary or own country. 11. Ecotourism- also known as ecological Tourism, it helps to educate the traveler provides funds for conservation. 12.Educational Tourism-the purpose is learning and enriching knowledge, students visiting museums, historical places and natural areas. 13.Events Tourism- allows the traveler to travel destination to attend and have an actual participation in an event like fairs, celebrations, festivals, rituals, ceremonies and birthdays. 14. Extreme Tourism- such as mountaineering, bungee jumping, rafting and rock climbing. 15. Ethnic Tourism- a travel where the traveler choose to experience the practices of other culture within a community or within a tribal. 16. Health Tourism- known as a medical Tourism, practice of leaving the country to get health care. 17.Sex Tourism- travel by purpose of having sex. 18.
