ESSON4: LGarden Tools and Their Uses and Health and Safety Practices in Gardening Garden tools are items used to help with gardening tasks like planting, digging, and watering. Garden tools are implements and equipment used in gardening and landscaping to help with planting, cultivating, maintaining, and harvesting plants. 1. HOE- used to dig and cut trenches 2. SPADE- used to mix and cut soil 3. SPADING FORK- used to dig and mix manure 4. SHOVEL- used to remove weeds 5. RAKE- used to level the surface of seedbeds 6. PICK MATTOCK- used to cut roots when digging 7. TROWEL- used in planting seedlings and in cultivating plants 8. WHEELBARROW- used to carry tools and garden soil 9.
