Resources of the tourism sector Lecturer: Umarova Makhliyo Resources of the tourism sector The essence of tourism resources. Grouping of tourism resources. Question: What is resource in tourism sector? 1. The essence of tourism resources The resources of the tourism sector are the national wealth of each country and are considered state property. Some of them are considered objects and monuments of world significance and are included in the list of UNESCO's "World Heritage". This list is studied and updated annually by UNESCO, and these natural, historical and cultural monuments are protected by the state. Appropriate funds are allocated by the United Nations for the repair and maintenance of objects of universal importance. 4 cities and more than 31 historical monuments of Uzbekistan are included in the "World Heritage" list of UNESCO. Uzbekistan has a great potential of tourism resources, there are more than 7,300 historical-architectural monuments and beautiful natural-climatic resources in its territory. Tashkent – 144 Samarkand – 118 Bukhara – 201 Khiva – 310 But today, only 1/3 of these tourist resources are active for tourism, and the rest require the formation of tourist infrastructure and the preparation of new tourism products. Resources of the tourism sector are a set of natural-climatic, social-cultural, historical, architectural, scientific and service-related objects or events capable of satisfying human needs for the purposes of tourism and in the process of tourism. Tourist resources are a dynamic, that is, a changing socio- economic process. Therefore, the reforms carried out by tourism organizers provide it with new qualitative changes, resulting in opportunities for engaging in new types of tourist activities. 2. Grouping of tourism resources 1. Natural tourism resources. 2. Cultural and historical resources. 3. Social- economic tourism resources. 4. Touristic information resources. Question: What are Natural tourism resources? 1. Natural tourism resources. Tourists satisfy their basic needs from nature. Landscapes, climate, water bodies, seas, and mineral water are the main resources in the organization of tourist activities. According to the level of continuity of resources: Depleting natural resources (fresh water, flora and fauna). Not depleting natural resources, including solar energy, wind, sea waves. What are Cultural and historical resources? 2. Cultural and historical resources. buildings related to human history unique examples of human creativity places of archaeological importance, caves of scientific, cultural and historical importance: What are Social- economic tourism resources? 3. Social- economic tourism resources. Tourism is connected with many sectors of the economy. It develops in interaction with construction, agriculture, vehicles, manufacturing plants, furniture manufacturing enterprises, etc. Question: What are labor resources? Labor resources. The physical and mental labor of people is used in the production of tourist products. Health and physical strength of people, education and skills take the main place in this. Tourism is one of the labor-intensive sectors of the world economy. One of the distinctive features of the tourism workforce is that 60 percent of them are young people.
