History Of Art DR. MARWA MOHAMED Basma Waleed 241014486 1 My artistic journey began at the tender age of six with my first exhibition at the Alexandria Library. Since then, I've been actively involved in the art scene, participating in numerous local and international exhibitions, including at Sawy Culture Wheel and the Cairo Opera House. Beyond traditional painting, I've explored diverse artistic mediums, such as l opened a business for cake decoration and teaching art to children. My passion for art led me to be interviewed by a Chinese TV channel to discuss my artistic journey. Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in Arts and Design at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Academy while continuously striving to refine my skills and creativity. 2 This is some of my work 3 Pottery at the stone age The pottery was crude and rough, but functional. That technology began spreading across East Asia, reaching Japan's Paleolithic Jomon culture around 14,500 BCE. By the time the Neolithic Revolution occurred, pottery was well established in East Asia. However, farming brought with it other inventions, like the wheel. 4 Pottery in the Egyptian era Egyptian potters employed a wide variety of decoration techniques and motifs, most of which are associated with specific periods of time, such as the creation of unusual shapes, decoration with incisions, various di erent firing processes, and painting techniques. 5 Pottery in the Greek art Greek pottery has four main types: Geometric, Corinthian, Athenian Black-figure, and Athenian red-figure pottery. Pottery vessels were made for everyday use such as the two-handled amphora for storage, the single-stem kylix cup for drinking wine, and the three-handled hydra for holding water. 6
