HALAL STATUS: DEFINING IT & HOW TO COMMUNICATE IT CONSISTENTLY FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY BACKGROUND The communication of Halal Status on our products is not always consistent There is still some confusion as to the use of the terms Halal Certified and Halal Suitable With the re-design of all our product packaging coming up it is a good time to ensure consistent messaging across all product labels and all comms materials We have collated all this info and obtained agreement on how it is to be communicated across all products and materials consistently Competitors are actively communicating the Halal status of their products FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY 2  Halal CERTIFIED Halal SUITABILITY FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY 3 DEFINITIONS Halal certified A product is considered to be halal approved if it follows the Islamic dietary guidelines. Under the guidelines, there are two main conditions our products must fulfil, in order for them to be certified as halal. These are: 1). Only halal ingredients (raw materials) are used. 2). The factory is audited and approved by an Islamic Halal authorisation body. To ensure that our baby products are certified as halal correctly, the authorisation bodies used are selected based on their reputation within the Muslim community.
