AIM OF A FIRST AID PROVIDER 1. Preserving life 2. Alleviating suffering 3. Preventing further illness or injury, 4. Promoting recovery ACTION PLANE Assess a situation. Safety of yourself and any casualties. Prevent cross-contamination between yourself and the casualty as best as possible. Assess the casualty: Treat the casualty. Arrange for removal of casualty for hospital Stay with a casualty until care is available..ASSESS A SITUATION PREVENT CROSS- CONTAMINATION gloves Goggles Face mask apron 1. Avoid coughing, breathing, or speaking over the wound 2. Avoid direct contact with body fluids 3. Use only clean bandages and dressings 4.
