It produces significant relics that connects with another culture from generation to generation. Ancient Art (2,500,000 BCE – 400 CE) or Pre-historic Art Era is classified into three periods: Paleolithic (Old Stone Age), Mesolithic (Middle Stone Age), and Neolithic (New Stone Age). It is the earliest art that are produced in preliterate or culture beginnings somewhere in late geological history and mostly continuing until the culture find its way some kind of writing system or methods of record-keeping. Classical Art (5th to 4th BC) was in early civilization that developed in simultaneously in an Era of Egyptian Era, Greek Era and Roman Era. It is an art of antiquity that covers a wide variety of styles and mediums ranging from painting, sculpture, and architecture. Classicism refers to generally to a high regard as a set of standards as elite. Egyptian Art Era mainly contributed in the development of art in religion, science and technology of the world. It is based on perfect balance because it reflects the ideal world of gods as it provides good gifts for humanity. Greek Art Era depicts naturalism and portrays human forms in a realistic and automatically correct manner. It is a period of style, with careful observation in following the mechanics of anatomy. Roman Art Era refers to the visual art that developed in very diverse form. Embracing and promoting art with much of innovation, to such extent sometimes it exceeds and compromising quality but displays craftsmanship. Medieval Art (300 AD to 1400 AD) started from the fall of Roman Empire, that evolves as humans continue addressing the traditional and new including Biblical subjects, Christian dogma, and Classical mythology. It introduces three periods: Byzantine Era, Romanesque Era and Gothic Era. Byzantine Art Era comprises the body of Christian Greek artistic products of the Eastern Roman Empire. It was purposely made to glorify the Christian religion, filled with spiritual symbolism, illustrates a love of splendor. 3 Romanesque Art Era has a vigorous style in painting and sculpture, lavishly decorated manuscripts, and retained many basic features of Roman Architectural styles. The name Romanesque refers to the fusion of Roman, Carolingian and Ottonian, Byzantine and local Germanic traditions that make up the mature style. It were made in France, the style was current in all part of Europe except those areas in Eastern Europe that preserved a full-fledged Byzantine tradition. Gothic Art Era developed in Northern France out of Romanesque art.it symbolizes the transcendence of the soul, and the underlying philosophy is to create buildings of height and light. In this lesson, you will be taught carefully how to understand art of ancient, classical and medieval periods by completing all the activities required.
