Saleh, DDS, PhD Near East University faculty Dentistry- Department of Prosthodontic dentistry The Learning Goals Student will be able to classify fixed prosthodontic restorations according to the support. Student will be able to explain Ant's law to determine the number of abutments for fixed prosthesis Student will have the ability to mention solutions for tilted and pier abutment The Types of Bridges The Types of Bridges? An exception is when the FDP is replacing a maxillary or mandibular canine tooth. Under these circumstances, the small lateral incisor needs to be splinted to the central incisor to prevent lateral drift of the FDP. This use of two abutment teeth on the anterior aspect is referred to as double-abutting.
