Manual Purpose Prince Sultan Aviation Academy Technical Training Program Manual (PSAA TTPM) is published by PSAA. This Technical Training Program Manual is authorized for use by the employees of Aircraft System Training and Regulatory & Support Training Departments to provide policies and guidance regarding processes and operation of these departments. PSAA TTPM satisfies the technical training requirements of GACAR Part 145 as well as Part 91, 121, 125 & 135 Operators. In addition, PSAA TTPM is a supplementary manual to PSAA GOM, satisfying the requirements of GACAR 142.101. PSAA TTPM serves as the training master document that controls the contents and delivery of all authorized technical training services. It provides details that enable both support and instructional staff to consistently deliver the training with the highest possible levels of standardization and quality. It outlines the policies and procedures for conducting all authorized training activity, and provides the necessary information to ensure an effective training environment. PSAA TTPM, complimented by the PSAA Quality Manual (QM), represents the cornerstone by which PSAA ensures both service and product excellence. The manual will be utilized by PSAA Technical Training management and personnel to determine the type of training required by an individual as well as the content of a given course of instruction. Control of Documented Information Documents required by PSAA’s Quality Management System shall be controlled. Records are a special type of document and shall also be controlled. 1.7.1. Control of PSAA Technical Training Program Manual Control of this manual is governed by the documented procedure “Control of PSAA Documents” as stipulated in PSAA Quality Manual. Control of PSAA TTPM Records Reference to the documented procedure “Control of PSAA Records”, stipulated in PSAA Quality Manual, the following are the established controls for TTPM Records: - TTPM electronic records are saved in Shared Folder. - Technical Instructor file and Class Attendance Report will be kept in hardcopy in secure filling room. - Class Attendance Report and Technical Training Files will be kept for 2 Years - All TTPM electronic records are retained permanently in Shared Folder. - Only Director Technical Training, Manager Aircraft System Training, Manager Regulatory & Support Training and assigned respective designees can access and retrieve TTPM records in Shared Folder. - TTPM hardcopy records will be disposed after the retention period. - TTPM records shall remain legible, readily identifiable and retrievable. - An inspection conducted semi-annual to make sure the records are updated. - TTPM records are identified by subject in Shared Folder. - Technical Instructor File (CV, Training Records, evaluation form) - Training Schedule (Quarterly schedule) - Training Materials (Instructor guide, trainee handout, lesson plan) - Administration file (Minutes of Meeting) Note: The above index is not inclusive but is expanded to include any necessary TTPM records. Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions are provided to ensure a uniform understanding of selected terms as they are used in the requirements and in this manual. Term Course Course Title Course Code Course Description Course Objectives Course Duration Course Prerequisites Training Method Evaluation Method Training Center Training Program Definition A program of instruction to meet specified requirements of a program for airman training, certification, qualification, authorization, or currency. The name of the course that will represent the main scope of the training. A unique identifier, which refer to the course owner, first letter of the subject title, equipment identification and the serial number of the course. A brief explanation of what will be covered during the course. Brief statements that describe what the attendees will be expected to learn by the end of the course. Total time of the training calculated in hours. Pre-determined requirements that must be met prior to attending the course. Training methods identify how the training will be conducted and include formal classroom, computerbased training, virtual training, and On-Job-Training. An assessment of the effectiveness of the training. Each course is developed and/or revised by a qualified instructor according to the requirements and specified standard. An organization certificated under GACAR Part 142 that provides training, testing, and checking of pilots, flight instructors, ground instructors, and flight engineers subject to the requirements of the GACAR. The collection of courses, courseware, facilities, equipment, and personnel necessary to accomplish a specific training objective.
