Ethics is derived from the Greek word ‘ethos’ Ethics is based on well-founded standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues. Etiquettes refers to any special code of behavior or courtesy e.g. It is usually considered bad etiquettes to chew with one’s mouth open Moral standards are those concerned with or relating to human behavior , especially the distinction between good and bad behavior.  Moral standards involve serious wrongs or significant benefits. Moral standards deal with matters which can be seriously impact, that is injure or benefit human beings.  Non-moral standards refer to rules that are unrelated to moral or ethical considerations.  Ethical relativism is the theory that holds that morality is relative to the norms of one's culture.  Cultural relativism It is well known by just about every human on the planet that people do things differently around the globe.  People dress differently, eat differently, speak different languages, sing different songs, have different music and dances and have many different customs.  Dilemma It refers to a situation in which a tough choice must be made.  Moral dilemma is a situation or event that questions the morals of a person in a temporary situation. The person can return to those morals after the event, but for the duration of the event they must choose one moral that over rules another.  INDIVIDUAL DILEMMA - A moral dilemma experienced by a person which challenges his values or priorities. It must be resolved by one person or individual.  ORGANIZATIONAL DILEMMA is a complex situation at workplace that the employees and the managers must face that result in a conflict of moral imperatives. It is the paradox of choosing one option over the other as both the options available transgress each other.  It is all about how to match discrepancy between individual needs and aspirations on the one hand and the organizational goals on the other.  STRUCTURAL DILEMMA  It refers to cases involving network of institutions and operative theoretical paradigms.  Culture defined Beliefs, values, behavior and material objects that constitute people’s way of life.  CROSS-CULTURAL RELATIONSHIP is the idea that people from different cultures can have relationships that acknowledge, respect and begin to understand each others diverse lives.  Cultural relativism Is the ability to understand a culture on its own terms and not to make judgments using the standards of one’s own culture.  Critical relativism Creates questions about cultural practices in terms of who is accepting them and why. *FAMILIARIZE THE 8 TYPES OF MORAL DILEMMAS *FAMILIARIZE THE 5 CHARACTERISTICS OF CULTURE *FAMILIARIZE THE STAGES OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO PIAGET.  Epistemic dilemma - involves situations where there are two or more moral requirements that conflict with each other
