SHERIFF’S POLICY MANUAL 4.4 PART-TIME EMPLOYEES ANNUAL/HOLIDAY/SICK LEAVE: A. Regularly employed part-time employees whose weekly work schedule is equal to 20 or more hours, earn annual and sick leave per Table 3. Leave amount earned by a part-time employee may vary each pay period. Hours worked per day will be posted biweekly on the payroll time sheet. B. If part-time employees change status to full-time employees, their leave time will transfer with them. C. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours a week will be credited four hours holiday leave or pay for each holiday listed in the Sheriff’s Policy Manual. Part- time employees must be employed by January 1 to be eligible for the four-hour floating holiday. D. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours a week will be credited four hours for a personal day and are subject to the personal day provisions specified in the Sheriff’s Policy Manual.
