HOFFMAN ESTATES FIRE DEPARTMENT STANDARD OPERATING GUIDELINES SOG Category & Identification Number: EFFECTIVE DATE: SPECIALIZED OPERATION - 017 January 1, 2022 NIMS COMPLIANT SOG Title: MABAS Division One Daily Log-In for Revision: Special Team Technicians 1 APPROVED BY: NUMBER OF PAGES: Re-evaluation Date: Alan Wax January 1, 2025 Fire Chief 1 PURPOSE The purpose of this guideline is to establish a procedure that allows the Hoffman Estates Fire Department to report the number of on-duty Special Team Technicians available each day for Mutual Aid or Division-wide emergency response requests. POLICY In an attempt to maximize the number of Specialized Rescue Team members available for emergency incidents throughout the region, MABAS Division One has established a database that allows a stricken community to identify available specialized team members throughout the entire Division. This database is accessible to Shift Commander’s throughout MABAS Division One. PROCEDURE Each day prior to 0830, it shall be the responsibility of the on-duty Shift Commander to access the MABAS Division One website at www.mabas1.org and update the Specialty Team Technicians Log, with the following information, date, number of team members in each specialty and the name of the Shift Commander. Once this is completed the Shift Commander should update the record. The passwords for log-in are included in the Battalion Chief folder on the J Drive.
