How can a father’s love or a mother’s love help in the achievement of one’s person’s goal?  From our experience of a father’s love (mother’s love), we draw strength. Hence, we develop the desire to live in love and share this love to others.  When we experience safety, love, peace, beauty, goodness, positivity, etc. we assert that it is a “God Experience”....moves us to share this experience with others. ….moving us to be “on a mission to love” others. Light Up  How is Jesus’ mission an expression of His experience of the Love of His Father? Jesus’ ABBA Experience Abba - Father Jesus is loved by the Father.  The Nature of God is Love. St. Paul (1 Jn 4:8)- God is love Characteristics: obscure but personified in Jesus. God the Father declares Jesus as His beloved Son. (Mt. 3:17) God, the Father, declared His love for His Son. (mt 3:17) “This is my beloved. Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Listen to Him. Jesus’ Filial Love with the Father (C.S. Lewis) Kinds of Love: (1) Agape → unconditional, kind of love Jesus taught and showed us. It is stronger than liking. It comes from within us actively by our free choice, from our soul/heart. Jesus’ Filial Love with the Father (C.S. Lewis) (2) Estorge → natural affection or liking (3) Eros → sexual (4) Philia → friendship Jesus’ Filial Love with the Father (C.S. Lewis) Agape (Filial) → love; a kind of love a child has for parents  Jesus’ Abba Experience Root and Cause of His Mission: → Jesus constantly speaks of God as Father especially in the most significant events in His life: Baptism, Transfiguration, Last Supper, Passion and Death. Ex. How Jesus’ speaks of His father “No one knows the Father but the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal.” (Mt. 11:27)  What did this experience of the Father’s Love move Jesus to do? Evangelii Gaudium 11: The joy of the Gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus.
