FLIGHT INSTRUCTION FLIGHT INSTRUCTION • Shall receive and log not less than 20 hours of Flight Instruction from authorized flight instructor. Flight Time (1.4 Definitions) • DUAL INSTRUCTION TIME • SOLO TIME • PILOT-IN-COMMAND (PIC) • CROSS COUNTRY TIME PPL - Flight Time (1.4 Definitions) • Block Time • Flight Time • Hobbs Time • Tach Time Omni Syllabus PPL • PPL Stage: • 40 hours Dual • 20 hours Solo • 10 hours Sim Total of 60 hours SKILLTEST OR CHECK RIDE • The applicant for PPL shall demonstrated the ability to perform as PIC of an airplane in the areas of operation described in IS 2.3.3.2 Appendix B by passing a check ride. 3 AIR LAW MEDICAL FITNESS • The applicant for PPL shall hold a current Class II Medical Certificate Validity • Below 40 years old - 24 Months • Above 40 years old - 12 Months LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY • Pilots shall demonstrate the ability to speak, read and understand the English language used for radio telephony communications. • IS 2.2.7 States that Operational Level 4 to Pass the Language Proficiency. PRIVILEDGES • the holder of a PPL (A) shall be to act, but not for remuneration, as pilot incommand or co-pilot of any airplane engaged in non-revenue flights. LICENSE VALIDITY • the validity period of the license is 5 years. CLASS RATINGS VALIDITY VALIDITY: A single-engine class ratings is two (2) calendar years RENEWAL: Within the preceding 24 calendar months, complete a proficiency check on areas of operation listed on IS 2.3.3.2. RATINGS RATINGS – inserted in pilot license if satisfactorily accomplish the requirement of specific rating being applied. Category Rating • Airplane • Helicopter • Glider • Balloon Class Rating • Single-engine Land (SEL) • Multi-engine Land (MEL) • Single-engine Sea (SES) • Multi-engine Sea (MES) Type Rating – Make and model of aircraft certificated for operation with a minimum crew of at least TWO PILOTS or any type of aircraft considered necessary by the Authority. Ex/: Airbus320 Boeing 747 – – With respect to certification of Airmen: • Category: Airplane, Rotorcraft, Glider and Lighter than Air. • Class: SEL, SES, MEL, MES With respect certification of Aircraft: • Category: Normal, Utility, Acrobatic • Class: Airplane, Rotorcraft, Gliders and Balloons. 4
