RESTRICTED 7 T-I/1.1 CHAPTER - 1 ORGANISATION OF UNIT / STATION HEADQUARTERS 1. The organisation chart of a station/ wing/ unit is given at Appendix to this chapter. It will be observed from the chart that the various sections are grouped according to the nature of the work done by these sections. As far as possible, each section is kept compact so that its head can closely supervise the work and welfare of each member. The overall responsibility for sound administration of a unit/ wing/ station lies with Commanding Officer. 2. In the organisation of station/ wing/ unit, there are three types of services:- (a) Air Services. The services which directly help to achieve the operational task of the unit are known as ‘Operational or Air Services’. (b) Technical Services. The services relating to technical and maintenance are called ‘Technical Services’. (c) Administrative Services. The services relating to the organisation and administration to task are called the ‘Administrative Services’. The following are generally defined as Administrative Services:- (i) Work Services. (ii) Pay Accounting/ Eqpt Accounting. (iii) Equipment, Ration, POL and Supplies. (iv) Security. (v) Medical. (vi) Education. RESTRICTED RESTRICTED 8 (vii) Catering. (viii) Fire Services.
