Pseudomonas aeruginosa - VAP causing organism. - Drugs for treatment: - Piperacillin with Tazobactam. (4.5g IV every 6 hrs) - Gentamycin (5-7 mg/kg IV, once daily) - Ciprofloxacin / Levofloxacin - 750mg IV daily ### 2. Aspiration Pneumonia - Caused by drug overdose / overdose of alcohol / GCS <8 / seizures - GERD. - Treatment: - Amoxicillin - clavulanate (Augmentin) 800mg / 125mg, every 2 hr. - Clindamycin (600mg IV every 8hr) - Ampicillin - sulbactam (Unasyn)
