To produce enzymes, hormones, and other substances critical to growth and development. - **Micronutrients** such as vitamins and minerals are only needed in very little amounts. **EATING HABITS** characterize the way an individual consumes food. **WEIGHT MANAGEMENT** is the process of achieving and maintaining an individual\'s desired weight. - **Internal factors** are mainly body related, like genetics and hormonal secretions. - **External factors** directly influence weight management such as diet, physical activities, and social settings. **FAD DIET** is a diet that promises quick results with little effort. **DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS** are substances that contribute to health maintenance and overall diet. These include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and animal extracts. **STRESS** is a reaction of the body and mind to unkind or challenging life incidents such as tense feelings, worry, and discomfort. - **EUSTRESS** is also called positive stress; it promotes growth and accomplishments and stimulates you to go on. - **DISTRESS** is a type of stress also known as negative stress frequently results in poor performance. **STRESSOR** is an event or a situation that causes stressful situations which are seen as risks to the well-being of a person.
