He is a reliable and consistent person, dependable, devoted and steadfast ➔​ SUBMITTED AND OBEDIENT - Submission is an ATTITUDE while obedience is an ACT. PROPHECY is ENTIRELY SUPERNATURAL because of its “divine inspiration and anointed utterance” in a known language. ​ Manifestation of the spirit not from human mind PURPOSES OF THE GIFT OF PROPHECY ​ In tongues, man speaks to God supernaturally. ​ In Prophecy, God speaks to man supernaturally. ​ To edify and comfort the church. ​ To convict the unbeliever and reveal the secret of his heart. 3.2 MIND OR REVELATION GIFTS A.​ WORD OF KNOWLEDGE - it is the SUPERNATURAL REVELATION by the Holy Spirit of certain facts in the mind of God It is a fragment of a given divine knowledge hidden or unknown to the one speaking B.​ WORD OF WISDOM - it is the SUPERNATURAL REVELATION by the Spirit of DIVINE PURPOSE The supernatural declaration of the mind and will Manifestations: through angelic visitation, by dreams or vision, through spiritual gifts of prophecy, tongues/interpretation of tongues C.​ DISCERNING OF SPIRITS - it is a SUPERNATURAL INSIGHT by the Spirit of divine purpose 3.3 POWER GIFTS A.​ GIFT OF FAITH - it is the SUPERNATURAL ENDOWMENT by the Holy Spirit which is uttered by man but inspired and authored by God that shall eventually come to pass -​ Faith, the fruit, is for character while faith, the gift is for POWER B.​ GIFT OF WORKING OF MIRACLES - it is the SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION in the cause of nature -​ Operates by reversal or suspension of natural laws  C.​ THE GIFTS OF HEALINGS - it is the SUPERNATURAL HEALING of diseases and infirmities without natural means of any sort. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. A person who leads worship is someone who does more than merely stand in front of a congregation singing songs.
