History and development of “English language” is critically evaluated here. Several types of periods are available such as: pre old period, old period, middle and modern English period. Old English Period is critically discussed in this study. The poetry and poems of that time are also mentioned in this study. Several awards are also given by British Bookseller association. This is advantageous for this Old English Period. Different periods of English language have been discussed over here.
