Serif fonts are also used to achieve a classic and elegant look in publications. Examples: Times New Roman Garamond Baskerville 2. SANS SERIF This typeface conveys a clean and minimalist look to the text. To express clear and straightforward meaning of the text, road signages, building directories, and nutrition facts in food packaging use this typeface. Moreover, sans serif fonts are mainly used in designing web pages to achieve a modern style look. Examples: Arial Tahoma Verdana Calibri 3. RTF is a format older than DOC. DOC file carries more formatting than RTF. The options RTF can provide are simple and limited. It can just support format like italics, types, font sizes, and boldface, while DOC can support users to format their documents in any ways they want. Microsoft has stopped developing RTF, but it never stops improving DOC. More recent versions of Microsoft Office can not be saved in RTF any longer, while the brand-new incarnation of the DOC is the DOCX https://www.facebook.com/gmanews/posts/look-bawal-magtapon-ng-basura-ditobagamat-meron-nang-sign-ay-patuloy-pa-rin-sa-p/10157877512581977/ Both RTF format and DOC format are developed by Microsoft for Word. RTF is a format older than DOC. RTF files are much smaller than DOC files. Due to the great number of formatting, you could keep in DOC files, the amount of data is great. However, the size of RTF files is very small. RTF file can be edited with any text editor, while you can neither encode nor view information of DOC files if you don’t have the correct application. RTF is less safe than DOC, because you can encrypt the DOC file https://www.facebook.com/gmanews/posts/look-bawal-magtapon-ng-basura-ditobagamat-meron-nang-sign-ay-patuloy-pa-rin-sa-p/10157877512581977/ DESIGN PRINCIPLES This pertains to the force or intensity of expression which contributes to the importance or vivid impression to something. Things that are closely related should be brought together. This refers to the proper positioning or state of adjustment of parts in relation to each other (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). The text positioned in the page can be left, right, center or justified. It refers to the act or process of organizing various elements of text in a page. Although elements of text are sorted away from each other (based on the principle of proximity), the organization sees to it that somehow, they are still connected with the rest of the elements in the page. The unity of the entire design and consistency of elements are the concerns of repetition. The repetition of some typefaces within the page are encouraged. However, when various typefaces are used on a page, it might result in distraction and failure to communicate the content of the text. This refers to the degree of difference between things having similar or comparable natures (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Visual interest in text elements is generated by contrast. CONTRAST = TWO ELEMENTS ARE DIFFERENT white text on a dark background Large Font with a small font Cool Color and Warm Color Design Me! Additional Instructions: Compile your work and save it as a PDF. Rename the file following this format: SECTION_Surnames (alphabetical) - Design Me.
