It is then followed by developing an M&E framework that includes indicators, data collection methods, and data sources. NB: It is always important to have the project document in place. Having a project document will help you to get the following key concepts for your monitoring i. The overall project goal ii. The proposed project objectives iii. The project activities and expected results/outputs iv. The indicators, sources of data/means of verification 2. **Implementation**: Execute the M&E plan i.e collecting and managing data. This includes monitoring the ongoing activities and track progress using the established indicators. 3. **Data Collection**: Systematically gather data according to the predetermined tools and timelines. Each component of the LFA should have specific indicators. vi. **Assumptions/Risks:** External factors that could affect project success, which need to be monitored throughout the project's lifecycle. NB: Using logical frameworks will require also to consider the following i. **Setting Baselines and Targets** Logframes often incorporate baseline data---information that quantifies conditions or issues before project implementation. Baseline data is essential for measuring changes attributable to the project.
