Android is an operating system created by Google for smartphones and tablets. Who Developed It? It was developed by a company called Android Inc., which was later bought by Google. Key Applications You can download many apps from the Google Play Store, which is available on Android devices. what is Android Customizable Interface You can change how your Android device looks by adjusting the home screen and adding widgets. Integration with Google Services Android works well with Google services like Gmail and Google Maps, making it easy to use these apps together. Android History 2003: Android Inc. Founded : Andy Rubin and his team started Android Inc. to develop a new mobile operating system. 2005: Google Acquires Android : Google bought Android Inc., bringing its team and technology into the company. 2008: First Android Device Launched : The HTC Dream, also known as the TMobile G1, was the first phone to use the Android operating system. Android History 2009: Android 1.5 Cupcake Released : This version introduced features like an onscreen keyboard and support for thirdparty apps. 2010: Android 2.2 Froyo Released : Froyo brought performance improvements and features like the ability to install apps on an SD card. 2011: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Introduced : This update included a major redesign of the user interface and introduced features like Face Unlock.
