Drama tells a story in prose or in verse (like in poetry). It is intentionally written to be presented on stage. It is the place and time in which the play takes place. Construction on the stage that shows time/place. They are the people or animals in a play. They are usually played by actors. It is what the characters say out loud on stage. It is either a conversation between characters or a monologue. Intended to be heard by others. Address other characters or the audience. Features a character speaking their thoughts aloud with no intended/ specific listener. These are instructions that tell the actors what to do on stage. These are usually written in italics and found in brackets [ ] or parentheses ( ). SETTING SCENE I. An open place adjoining Capulet’s Garden. STAGE (Enter Romeo.) DIRECTION ROMEO.
