After curing, direct material will become a panel. Direct Material a) Material that will become part after curing process Example: Carbon Woven, Glass Scrim, etc. 2. Indirect Material b) Material that does not become part after curing process and are only used as supporting material to produce the parts. Example: Breather N10, Bagging Film, etc. Page 9 MATERIAL RECIEVING Material Receiving 2.1 Understanding Material Condition 1. Upon receiving material from Warehouse, Kitting personnel must do visual inspection on boxes of material receive for any damage or opening and ensure the box is supported at both end. 2. Kitting also must ensure there is support end at both end of material and there is no damage at box. *ALERT* If any non-conformance QC should raise NCR and quarantine the material Material have support both end & box no Page 11 damage Material Receiving 2.2 Prepregs Box Must Be Good Condition 1. Upon receiving material from Warehouse, Kitting personnel must do visual inspection on boxes of material receive for any damage or opening and ensure the box is supported at both end. Kitting quality personnel also required to check pallets being used to support the box are in good condition. Where needed, a new pallet for the box needs to be change by warehouse personnel if required. Ensure the materials received are accompanied with Serviceable Tag and Material Log. 2. Ensure all information stated in Serviceable Tag and Material Log is correct especially expiry date. Page 14 MATERIAL HANDLING & STORAGE Handling and Storage 3.1 All raw materials must be :- 1. In a good condition (Plastic is sealed properly, plastic is not punctured and/or torn). 2. Have at least 1 desiccant inside kit bag packaging. 3. Kitted bag was not Folded or creased. 4. All roll materials must have support end. 5. Have material traceability (Material log, Material data). 6. Materials has not reached the expiration date. 7. When removed from cold storage, the material must remain sealed until it reaches ambient temperature (i.e : such no condensation forms on the outside of the bag when wiped). Page 17 Handling and Storag 3.2 General PRECAUTIOUS of Material Handling and Storage 1. All serviceable material must have Material Log and Serviceable Tag. 2. When removed from cold storage, the material must remain sealed until it reaches ambient temperature (i.e. : such no condensation forms on the outside of the bag when wiped). 3. All kitted material that is not for immediate use in the layup operation shall be placed into a bag with at least one desiccant. The bag shall be sealed. 4. Kitting personnel must ensure all kitted material must be properly stored and use proper regulator or table (not folded or hanging). 5. Where kits are to be used at a later date, with consideration of the out time remaining, the kits shall be kept in the freezer until required for use. All serviceable roll material must have Material Log and Serviceable Tag. 2. All box must attach with Material Tracking Form (MTF), Material Log and Serviceable Tag.
