Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2024 Launch in Dhanbad On 25 July 2024, Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2024 at Bharat Coking Coal Limited in Dhanbad. This initiative, part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, was launched simultaneously at 300 locations across 47 districts in 11 coal/lignite-bearing states. Gujarat CM launches ‘Shramik Basera’ Scheme On 18 July 2024, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the ‘Shramik Basera’ scheme in Ahmedabad. This initiative aims to provide temporary accommodation for construction workers at a nominal rate of ₹5 per day. Madhya Pradesh tops best performing state in SVANidhi Scheme Madhya Pradesh has secured the first place under the ‘Best Performing State’ category in the Prime Minister SVANidhi scheme. Launched in 2020, SVANidhi aids urban street vendors by providing collateral-free loans up to Rs 50,000. Assam ranks second in the same category. Chandrababu Naidu launched the NTR Bharosa pension scheme On 1 July 2024, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched the NTR Bharosa pension scheme. Under this scheme, the pension amount was increased from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 per month for various categories, including old age persons, widows, toddy tappers, weavers, and specially-abled individuals.
