# Generalidades de la Modernidad The history of humanity is the sum of a series of events that make us understand that all scientific and technological advancements that we enjoy today are the product of the high obligation that we must do in search of our origins and our bases. This is how in this course you will know the development of humanity in the last two epochs: Modern and Contemporary. We begin this journey with the study of the Modern Age. In the study of this lesson, the most outstanding facts of the series of economic, political and social transformations that begin the so-called modern times are presented. ## Antecedentes de la Edad Moderna The closest antecedent that breaks with the customs of the Middle Ages is found in the crusades, which were religious, economic and political struggles between Christians and Turks in Asia Minor; these crusades will influence the change that will take place from the feudal economy to the capitalist one.
