**Enzymes are biological catalyst that speeds up the rate of chemical reaction in the body.** **Iso enzymes are enzymes that catalyze the same reaction but differ their primary structures or sub unit composition.** **Enzymes used in diagnosis medicine:** 1. **Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) : this is a tetrameric enzymes that have 2 sub unit. The have 5 forms. LDH 1 -found in the cardiac cells, LDH 2 -- found in the red blood cells , LDH 3 -- found in the lungs , LDH 4 -- found in the kidney or pancreatic cells , LDH 5 -- found in the liver or skeletal tissues.** 2. **Creatine phosphokinase(CPK): this is a dimer that have protomers BB brain, MM for muscle. The exist in 3 forms.**
