UCLL Digital Impact Day 25 September 2024 Percentage of Belgians who are digitally vulnerable? 40% Percentage of Belgians who use only one device (usually a smartphone) to connect to the internet? 22% Percentage of Belgian people with low cybersecurity skills? 58% Percentage of Belgian jobs for which digital skills will be required by 2030? 90%  That is why Digital for Youth strives for the digital inclusion of all children and young people in Belgium by donating second-hand laptops 25.000 laptops delivered to more than 350 youth organisations and schools in 5 years time!  How do we do that ? We care from A to Z We collect functional ICT equipment We refurbish 70% of all laptops We provide data wipe and We deliver laptops to from more than 300 donors and IT-assets collected recycle certificates more than 350 schools & youth organisations It is free It is sustainable It is safe It is impactful  We strive for a double impact Circular IT → ecological impact Human IT → societal impact Written-off laptops no longer have any Basic digital knowledge is just as accounting value.
