## CURRENT, VOLTAGE & RESISTANCE There is a mathematical relationship between potential difference (voltage) and current. There is a law called OHM'S LAW that describes this relationship: V = IR * V is the voltage measured in volts (V) * I is the current measured in amps (amperes) - A * R is the resistance measured in ohms (Ω) The different arrangements of the formula is: * I = V/R * V = IR * R = V/I ### Sample problem #1: A load has 1.2 A of current flowing through it. The voltage across the load is 6.0 V. Calculate the resistance of the load. ### Sample problem #2: A 110 Ω resistor is connected to a power supply set at 12 V. Calculate the current going through the resistor.
