**Optional Quarter 1 AP Biology Quiz Make-up** **Due Friday, October 18 by 3:30PM** This assignment is OPTIONAL and can be used to replace ONE missing or low quiz grade you choose from quarter 1. **Directions:** 1\. Choose 1 of the 5 quizzes (a-e) to make-up from this list. a. b. c. d. e. 2\. If you were NEVER absent or were absent for only ONE quiz, you may make up any quiz allowed by your teacher. 3\. If you were absent for more than ONE quiz, you must make up a quiz you missed. 4\. Rewrite the quiz! Your new quiz should have **5 new questions** and ask about the same topics or similar topics as the original quiz. You may not copy any questions from the original quiz. You can choose to include diagrams or not. No more than 1 question should ask you to **Identify** only. It does NOT need to be formatted like a quiz. 5\. Answer all of the questions in complete sentences (unless the question requires you to label or draw something). 6\. **Hand write** your quiz with questions and answers. Make sure to label your quiz correctly (ex. Quiz 1 Unit 1). Turn it in directly to your teacher. 7\. If all 5 questions and answers are directly related to the topic on the original quiz and answered correctly, your teacher will replace THAT same quiz grade with a 100% score in the grade book. Your quiz should be the same topic(s) as the quiz but different questions. It does not need to be formatted like a quiz, just a list of 5 questions with your answers. Make sure to use these [[task verbs]](https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-biology/exam-tips). Note that this sample quiz only has 4 questions, yours must have 5.
