Poetry is a form of literary expression that uses rhythmic and often evocative language to convey emotions, ideas, or stories. Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds within a line of poetry. Consonance is the repetition of consonant sounds anywhere within words, not just at the beginning. SOUND DEVICES IN POETRY ONOMATOPOEIA IS THE USE OF A WORD OR PHRASE, SUCH AS “HISS” OR “BUZZ” THAT IMITATES OR SUGGESTS THE SOUND OF WHAT IT DESCRIBES. Analyze the sound device used.
