The assignment includes multiple choice questions and open questions. Each multiple choice question worth 1 point, each open ended question worth 3 points. A multiple choice question is evaluated based on the right/wrong answer. An open question is based on the solidness and reasonableness of arguments and the use of supporting information and data. An essay of no more than 10 pages is uploaded to SmartLMS before December, 10th, 2024. Grades and Assessment Criteria: «Excellent» (8-10): Has a clear argument, which addresses the topic and responds effectively to all aspects of the task. Fully satisfies all the requirements of the task; rare minor errors occur. The grades 9 or 10 are given if a student shows critical or creative thinking beyond excellent, performs tasks of increased complexity, offers an unexpected innovative solution that demonstrates a higher level of development of the declared educational results. «Good» (6-7): Responds to most aspects of the topic with a clear, explicit argument. Covers the requirements of the task; may produce occasional errors. «Satisfactory» (4-5): Generally addresses the task; the format may be inappropriate in places; display little evidence of (depending on the assignment): independent thought and critical judgement include a partial superficial coverage of the key issues, lack critical analysis, may make frequent errors. «Fail» (0-3): Fails to demonstrate any appropriate knowledge or doesn't submit an essay. The exam is conducted in the form of an assignment with 20 multiple-choice questions and 2 open-ended questions. The maximum number of points that a student can get for the exam assignment is 40. The exam is evaluated as the sum of points for multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions. The exam is a blocking element, the minimum score for obtaining a positive grade for the exam is 16 points.
