Biblical Teachings on the meaning and purpose of Life Grade 10 Objectives: 1. Discuss the questions: a. Discuss our biblical purpose in life - Source of life - “made in the image and likeness of God” - Values we share with God. - Made with intelligence and Freewill - sfd Introduction 1. Watch the video and share your understanding of what the singer describes as her purpose in life. 2. Do you a have similar vision? 3. Do you know what your purpose in life is? God is the Source of “ALL” life! God is the source of all life The Bible points to God as the Creator of life and states that God is the best way to receive direction and purpose in their lives. It states that God’s love for each person began before they were born. Christians believe that having faith in God is the best way to receive direction and purpose in their lives. God as the source of all life How do we know God is the source of all life: He existed before to the creation of everything. All “life forms” come from Him. Everything He created was validated by Him as being “very good”. What are values? Name values that God possess’ and would like for us to incorporate in our lives? Values of God The Bible describes God as being holy, pure, good, righteous, just, merciful, trustworthy, faithful – a God of grace and love. As we learn more about God, we also learn more about ourselves, because as God's sons and daughters we include, and are spiritually created to reflect, the qualities that have their source in Him. Do you expect to see these values in yourself and others? Explain your response.
