# Insurance Agent Responsibilities This document outlines the responsibilities of insurance agents. ## XVI. Records Maintenance **A.** Licensees and adjuster applicants must provide evidence of completing courses to the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) or its designee upon request. Each licensee must maintain evidence of each completed course for at least four years from the completion date. Licensees must continue to maintain this evidence if TDI or its designee notifies them that records or compliance is under investigation. **B.** Acceptable evidence of course completion may include: 1. A certificate of completion from a provider 2. A college transcript 3. A passing grade report from a national designation program 4. A certificate or report of completed continuing education hours issued by a professional licensing authority or a provider of a certified course. 5. A letter from the program sponsor's representative stating the number of hours taught. ## XVII. Notification to Department of Certain Information **A.** Licensed agents must notify the department monthly of: 1. Changes to their mailing address. 2. Felony convictions. 3. Administrative actions taken by state or federal insurance regulators. ## XVIII.
