Indications for oxygen therapy * Cyanosis * Tachycardia * Bradycardia (late) * Tachypnea * Change of mental status * Lethargy * Pulse ox reading consistently < 92% (however, depending on the patient) ## 2. Basic oxygen therapy procedures * Try to limit 100% therapy to 24 hours or less * Try to maintain 50% or less FiO2 if possible. * Normal SpO2 level for most adults is 92% - 99%. * COPD patients often at 88% or even less. ## 3.
