OSHAS 18000, ILO OSH 2001 and ISO 45001 OSHMS Standards 3 OHSAS 18000 SERIES The internationally recognized assessment specification for occupational safety and health management systems (OSHMS) First published in 1999 and revised in 2007. The main driving force behind OHSAS 18001 was British Standard Institute (BSI) o It has been designed to be compatible with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 o OHSAS 18001 is NOT an ISO Management system, neither was ISO involved in its development. The OHSAS Standard is intended to address occupational health and safety, and is NOT intended to address other health and safety areas such as employees wellbeing / wellness programmes, product safety, property damage or environmental impacts. The MS1722:2011 is the first revision of MS1722:Part1:2005. The MS 1722:2011 is intended to address occupational safety and health rather than product and services safety. ISO 45001 the world's first occupational health and safety (OH&S) international standard. This document does not address issues such as product safety, property damage or environmental impacts, beyond the risks they provide to workers and other relevant interested parties.
