Revise: Emma is a regular 12-year-old girl who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, but she has a big secret: she fears flying in airplanes. Emma’s mom told her to pack her stuff earlier that morning. Emma wondered why they had to pack, but she just brushed it off. Then Emma's mom makes the worst announcement: they must fly to Disney World. When they get to security Emma looks up at the big security guard and gets even more scared. After they got out of security Emma could see how busy it was, and was hearing all the loud planes go by: this was making her scared. Then she saw the big plane which she realized was her plane. Then she started having a meltdown. As this is happening an older girl sees this. She goes up to her and says,' Hey it’s ok that you are scared, I was frightened once too, but you’ve got this.' This makes Emma realize that she has to get on that plane, and she does. When they get up in the air, Emma looks out the window and realizes that flying isn’t that bad, and how cool it is. When they land in Orlando, Emma is so happy that she has overcome her fear and is ready to fly elsewhere. Read more
