- Surprise Check Road: This check occurs along roads if instances of ticketless travel or cooperation between staff is suspected. This approach emphasizes maintaining secrecy.
- Mid-Section Check: This is a surprise approach used by HQ ticket checking squads, replacing staff in trains to re-do checks.
- Massive Operational Checks: This check spans 80 km radius and lasts 3 to 6 days. Many different types of checks that support the need for thorough investigation are conducted.
Irregular Travel
- Without Ticket Travel: The excess fare and a minimum charge of Rs 250 will be recovered from the previous ticket checking station.
- Child travelling without ticket with Guardian: Excess fare and charges will be recovered from the originating station of the guardian’s ticket. The onward journey will only include the excess fare.
- Ordinary Train Ticket Holders Travelling by Express Train: Passenger will be charged the difference of the lower class fare and the higher class fare in the journey.
