Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in India

The purpose of the TET is to ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the elementary and secondary stages.

Eligibility for TET

Candidates who have completed their graduation or are pursuing a teacher training course can take the TET.

Super TET in Uttar Pradesh

The Super TET is introduced by the UP Government to recruit teachers for assistant teachers and principals in the state.
The purpose of Super TET is to fill the vacancies of teachers in Uttar Pradesh.

CTET Examination

The CTET examination consists of two papers: Paper I (for classes I to V) and Paper II (for classes VI to VIII).

Passing Score Requirement

The passing score requirement for TET is a minimum of 60% marks for general category candidates and 55% for reserved category candidates.
